Unreliable company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Pay attention to the anonymous comments. DO NOT TRUST CleanMediaWorks which is an alias for the Good Media company which was an alias for yet another company. Like some have said, one company closes down and another pops up out of nowhere. The last one I traded with was based in Australia but the same company was previously based in Utah. I no longer trust them. I purchased over half a dozen videos from them over the years and 1 out of 3 were bad. Like one anonymous commenter, I tried to reach them, got an email from "Jen", and got no results. I finally returned the bad DVD with a letter to the address it was shipped from. Still no response. They promised much but delivered nothing but bad DVDs. I now purchase only from Purified Pictures. They're based out of California. They guarantee their movies will play or they'll replace or refund. They have a lot of customers who've switched from the above mentioned company and its aliases. Be aware that, yes, it is illegal to alter and sell movies for profit one video after another. HOWEVER, it is NOT illegal to alter a movie that was purchased by someone if they retain the original. Companies who edit legally must insure that the purchaser has the original. The company I trade with will not edit unless they sell the original or unless you ship the original, unedited movie to them for editing. That way they only edit one movie and charge for the editing service.

SCAMMERS

I have ordered from this company for years with no issues. I decided to take part in their latest DVD sale where are DVDS are around $5. I ordered almost $100 worth. I noticed I was getting to no communication in regards to shipping or order confirmation. I did a little looking online and found this website. Very disappointed in the company. Called my credit card company right away and was issued a credit. The Better Business Bureau located in Ohio (which is where the company is located) has stated they have tried to contact this company but their PO Box is no longer in service. They have history of complaints of orders not being fulfilled but yet charges still going through on credit card. I was told to contact the Attorney Generals office in Ohio. You can fill out a complaint online. This company is actually committing FRAUD. Not only are they taking payment without delivering merchandise, they are still sending out emails for goods/promotions as if they are still in business. This company will be shut down soon (along with their website) no doubt. There are a few of these companies still out there I've ordered from over the years. My guess is that they are changing their name frequently to stay out of the spotlight. They are usually from Utah.

I ordered a DVD from them several months ago, and never received it. I emailed them, and I have called several times leaving messages requesting a response but their recording says their "customer service is currently not available", and they will get back to me, but never have.

This company is scamming people and they need to be put out of business! I wish I had read this review before I ordered from them!

I ordered a DVD late April. It is now June 7. I have not received the DVD. No one responds to my calls or messages. It appears someone is fraudulently maintaining their website and taking fake orders. I hope I'm wrong, but it's not looking that way.

Have bought hundreds of dollars from good media DVDs, customer service has always been excellent. Shipping takes a while (about a month), but I’ve nothing but good experiences with them

Good Media already started another company called cleanmediaworks.com I would contact them and see if you can get your money/order. I was scammed out of about $100 and tried to contact the other company.

The girl was really rude and said that they weren't associated but they sent me a movie that was identical to good media. I disputed the charges and got my money back

I'm in the same boat from an order placed earlier this year but can't find a good email address or phone number for them. What number did you use for disputing the charges and getting your money back?

Scammed out of $121.73

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My husband I ordered a few DVDs from this company in the past and received them quickly and was very happy with what we bought. Then in February we decided to order 19 DVDs for a total of $121.73 that our kids were very excited to be able to see and we were all eagerly awaiting for their delivery. A month later after having NOT received anything, I decided to write my first email inquiring about my order. A few weeks later I wrote a second email, then I started calling and leaving messages, and then realized I would never hear from them. That's when I did some research online and realized others have been scammed from this company before. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Not sure what to do now. Like you, my emails and calls were never answered.

Thanks for any advice on this.

I went to my bank and filed a report (can't remember what the form is called) so that they would refund my money, which they did the next day... then 2 days after that I my dvds were delivered.

Lol So I went back to my bank and had the money released to the company. So at least I got my dvds, but their customer service obviously sucks!

GOOD MEDIA DVDS CONTINUES TO SCAM.....

The business resolved this issue.

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR EMAILS REGARDING $5 DVDS. THEY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS LAST YEAR. I NEVER RECEIVED THE DVDS I ORDERED OVER 2 WEEKS AGO.

Original review Jan 26, 2017
Even though this company closed last year, they still continue to send emails advertising a "sale." I've ordered from them before and never had a problem. The dvds arrived in a timely manner and played beautifully. Unfortunately, things have changed. I recently received an email stating that all movies were only $5.00 so I decided to take advantage of this bargain. Thankfully, I only bought three, which was over two weeks ago. They never arrived. I sent an email to "Jen," the person in charge, but it was returned stating that she was on an "extended leave of absence" and that Crystal is now handling all customer service. After hearing nothing from her, I decided to search the web for reviews and found this site with another negative review. Beware of their fake email ads....don't be duped like I was. PS...just checked their website. It's no longer available. GOOD!

GoodMedia DVD - BEWARE!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This company closed several months ago and had a major sell-off. I bought a number of "clean videos" and their customer service was good. Evidently, someone has resurrected the business and is still advertising "clean version" DVD movies. I bought two in July and neither disk was playable. I sought a replacement and then a refund and did not get a reply. I called their telephone customer service line and left a message. No response. I then contacted BBB, in their main office area, and found that they had received many complaints; orders are not being filled; movies will not play, etc. Even the BBB can't contact anyone at the business nor will they respond the BBB's inquiries. THIS IS A BIG RIP-OFF. Beware of purchasing any movies from this company. I received another email this evening, from the company, highlighting a "sale." BEWARE. DON'T BE A SUCKER.

I've bought DVDs from them for years and so has several people I know and none of us have ever had a problem. I've emailed them when I had questions and they were always quick to respond. I'm sorry though that this person had a bad experience.

Purchased $40 in DVDs on May 4, 2016; never received them! The only reply was from Jen (who is on leave) said to contact Crystal or Derek

and they would fix the issue!

That was 39 days ago!

BEWARE- they are still sending notices that they are selling DVDs- they are NOT! Fraudulent company-

Sorry that was May 4, 2017-

I also tried GM for my edited dvds with the same result. I now use CleanMediaWorks.Com.

They are small, local, and their customer service is very personable.

Good Luck

I got an email from Good Media saying that I should try clean Media. Something fishy is going on. No thanks!!!

No. I think they are all the same company.

If you notice, one shuts down and then another one immediately opens. Ironically the new company will always have your email address.

They are running for some reason. I think it is actually illegal to edit dvds.
